Uniqueness Is Everything

This is SCARY, Isyaias!

Today, when I had a conversation with one of my customers, he told me that his industry is E-book related. He has more than 275 e-books to sell.
When I heard the word... "E-book", I was like WHAT are you talking about?

You see...

In the awaken of the web 2.0, the way we CONNECT with other people has changed. People know MORE about great product and bad product. This is WHY we have reviews all over the place.

This is WHY great products get spread so easily, while bad products get tossed right away.

At the same time, it is also true that people are SHOPPING for bargains online. It means that IF you are selling an e-book for $19.95, while your competitors are selling it for $1.99, there is NO reason they will buy from you.

What I am trying to say in here is...

"UNIQUNESS".


Uniqueness is everything. When you are selling private label rights or resale right products, you do NOT have your own identity. In fact, most of the e-books are full of crappy information. The worse part is....

"The Product Represents YOU"


It means that whether you are selling a good product or a bad product, people will see YOU as the person they buy the product from. When this happens, most likely it happens anyway, there are "THREE" bad conceptions about your business:

(A) You are a seller of crappy products.

It means that people will start telling others NOT
to buy from you. PERIOD. They just ignore you. They
just don't want to deal with your business.

You lose sales. You lose business. You run out of
cash flow. At the end, you're going out of business.
That's it!

(B) Your competitors will kill your pricing.

When your products offerred to the public, you can
price it at $67 or higher. However, as soon as it
enter the market, your competitors will start coming
out with the SAME exact product.

Since he knows that he is NEW in the market place,
he slashes the price to $47. What happen to your
business, you lose sales.

(C) You're going to explode, not your business.

Selling e-book for cheap is REALLY not a solution
at all. Why? Well, a lot of time, I have seen many
people sell e-books with fire sale type and try to
make an extra $5,000.

As soon as they are done, they will go ahead and
create another fire sale to make an extra $5,000.
What happen is... Even though the business is NOT
exploding, you are going to explode.

You are going to THINK why do I work so hard,
just to make an extra $5,000 every two month, while
I would be better off just to work for others.

At the end, they will BLAME things on market saturation, economy, competitors, and much more.

How do we change this pattern?
What should we do to make sure my competitors do not kill my business?

(1) Uniqueness.

If you can be copied, your business is NOT unique.
If people start questioning the difference between
you and this marketer, you are NOT unique.

You see... People NEED to know that when they talk
about you, they are like... "WOW, if you do NOT
this guy, you are an idiot". This is WHAT you need
to hear from others about you. PERIOD!

(2) Great Products.

This is obvious, isn't it?

I have seen many people who are just trying to come
up with something in order to make money online.
This is totally INSANE. You can NOT treat your
business that way.

When you do this, you are burning all the bridges
you have built within your industry. Seriously, it
doesn't matter how great your copywriting is, people
are SMARTER than that.

They can see the difference whether you are JUST
faking it or you really know what you are talking
about. So, FOCUS on great products. This is not
just necessary, it is a MUST in business.

(3) Relationship Building.

With the death of web 1.0, if you do NOT have the
relationship with your subscribes, they do NOT
trust you. Think about this, ok?

When I struck-up a conversation with a marketer, he
told me that people should have known my expertise
already. I said... "I have no clue". He looked at
me with a strange eyes.

you have already known about business. It is MORE
onto what THEY THINK you know help you establish
