I do not know whether you are a newbie or a veteran in
affiliate marketing. But I thought this is something
refreshing to know. From the many famous affiliate
marketers I have come across, there are 4 positive habits
which all successful affiliates have:

1. Income Goal Setting

Set an income goal with milestones in-between. If you want
to earn a $6000/mth income in one year's time, target to
increase your earnings by $500 each month. Most
affiliates do not set a realistic income goal. Without

You Must Take Action

Hello Isyaias

Self-made millionaires achieved this status because
they were willing to pay the price.

There is a price to pay for getting rich, just as there
is a price to pay for everything you attain in your
life.

Many chatter about being willing to pay the price, but
few will actually do so.

Isyaias if you are serious about becoming a
wealthy man or woman, you need to be prepared to pay
the considerable price tag associated with that
blissful state. It doesn't come free.

So let's talk honestly, frankly and openly about
exactly what is involved if you are to make your
fortune. You will not read what I am about to tell you
in any 'feel good' book.

To make a lot of money, you're going to have to give up
many things. Often you won't even know what the price
is when you start out. Nevertheless, you must resolve
to pay it. This is the factor which stops most people
from getting rich. They want it for nothing and are not
willing to sacrifice anything at all to get it. This is
a fantasy.

I think my strength is in smashing illusions,
fantasies, and myths. Most people sign up for a great
many of these fantasies which they believe to be 'the
truth' and this has a huge impact on their wealth
creating efforts. Often it even threatens survival.

Most people barely survive financially. Worse still,
lacking an iron-grip control on even the basics of
their lives, they mumble the incantations of success,
expecting magical results. That is, results which do
not exact a price or penalty.

Let us be brutally honest here, this is the state of
people in the United States today:

1. 2% are wealthy.

2. 5% are comfortable. They live in a decent house
with a small or zero mortgage, they drive a new car,
they take one or two holidays each year. They have
enough money for most of the things they need, but they
are not wealthy. I would describe them as being in the
high end of their comfort zone.

3. 53% are scraping along day-to-day, month to month.
They are just about paying their way, but there is
never any money left over for luxuries. Also, they live
in constant fear of the large unexpected bill, tax
demand, or medical expense. They are hanging on to the
tricky business of life by the fingernails - barely
surviving; lurching from crisis to crisis.

4. 40% are days away from drowning and are coming up
for air for the third time. Their past mistakes and
failures have created a crippling burden of debt which
they have not the slightest hope of paying back through
working at a normal job. The crushing weight of their
errors and the cumulative effect of years of laziness,
inaction and lack of discipline have created a terminal
situation. Each month they sign up again for inaction
and myopia. Each month their load becomes a little
heavier. Without urgent and immediate action, the
outcome is inevitable - total financial collapse.

As an aside, I would like you to reread the above
paragraph and notice how I place the blame for this
situation squarely on the shoulders of the person
experiencing it. This is where it belongs of course but
it is unfashionable to say so.

In a society which seeks to crush individualism and
make each one of us a worker in the state collective,
how can an individual possibly be to blame for his own
misfortune? He cannot. This would give the individual
some personal power, and that cannot be right!

No. It must be society, greedy capitalists,
manipulative industry, bad luck, his upbringing, peer
pressure, his race, lack of education, his age, lack of
opportunity, or any one of a hundred other factors all
of which are out of his control. In short, he is not to
blame, according to modern thinking.

If you doubt this, read the following and see if it has
a familiar ring:

"Yes, I admit it. I'm flat broke and I owe tens of
thousands of dollars to other people which, to be
honest, I don't have a prayer of paying back. But it's
not my fault. I was made redundant from my job and
thrown on the scrap heap at 40.

Those greedy bosses call it downsizing - but I don't
notice any downsizing in their fat wallets. Twenty
years I've worked there, and that's all the thanks I
get. I'm a heavy- motor electrical engineer, and there
just aren't that many jobs around for someone of my
abilities. I've applied for a few but they always want
younger men.

I guess losing my job made me kinda depressed and my
wife couldn't take it. She wants a divorce and the
bitch is taking me for every penny. I don't have any
savings, and the money I get from the state is a joke.
Sure I'm broke, but as you can see it's not my fault."

An aspiring millionaire never blames anything or anyone
but themself for the circumstances of their life.

Half Empty Becomes Half Full

Hello again. How are you holding up?

I welcome all your comments and feedback and trust my words each week are helpful in such a tumultuous time.

To be honest, it can get very lonely in my seat. Not only do I speak through cyberspace with no indication of who is listening, but I'm also a contrarian, as long-time readers will know.

Being a successful contrarian money-maker means doing something that most people (at the time) believe is completely crazy... without actually doing something that really is completely crazy.

Over winter, I've never felt so alone. I continually banged my fist on the table making the case for commodities such as oil, gold, silver, wheat, copper etc.

Maybe even you, dear reader, thought I was a fool for doing so. But now, I don't feel so alone. It seems the world has caught up with me as those commodities have been soaring. How much money did YOU make from this? Perhaps from buying commodity stocks or futures??

Why have things turned around?

The reason I had told you about all along: commodities are priced in US Dollars and the government is deliberately devaluing the currency. You see, everyone was reading it wrong. They (rightly) looked at world demand plummeting and priced commodities lower (too low), BUT it's not lack of demand that raised the prices- the Federal Reserve did with their printing press.

As in life, the markets move in a herd-like fashion. Safety in numbers. It's all psychological. People assume tomorrow will be like today.

If you can resist this attraction to be with a herd, or even better to be REPELLED by a herd, you can make money from ANY market, in ANY economic climate.

So, the stock market rally continues as I had expected and hoped. It's all positive action so far and it looks like this might, just might be the start of the awaited bear market rally.

As I detailed last week, this rally should continue until people stop calling it a bear market rally and think it's actually a bull market. How high is that? Anyone's guess, but I reckon around 10-11,000.

I know most people are hanging on to their stocks and waiting for the bounce-back. If things play out as I expect, that really will be their last chance to dump everything... unless they want to wait 10-20 years to get their money back.

You see, nothing has really changed in this crisis... apart from sentiment. But sentiment is powerful. It can drive markets and it doesn't have to be right. What's effectively happened here is that the glass is now being seen as half-full rather than half-empty. The amount of water in the glass hasn't changed.

Look, here's the problem and this is what almost everyone is overlooking...

The problem, it is perceived, is that the economy has crashed because credit has dried up. Mortgages, personal loans, car finance, credit cards etc.

So the obvious solution to this is to get banks lending again, right?

Yes, correct. If that is the problem, then this is indeed the solution. That's why the Obama administration is on a tear to clear the so-called "toxic assets" from banks' balance sheets using wonderful new jargon that amounts to nothing more than chicanery.

But the starting premise is faulty! What if credit drying up isn't really the problem at all?

We as humans look for a reason for everything, when often the answer is at best elusive or abstract.

So what is the cause then?

Let me ask YOU what the cause is...

Let's say right now, you could get all the credit you wanted. Would you go out and get a bigger house/mortgage? Would you buy a new car? Would you blast your credit card at the mall on a load of stuff??

Maybe, if you felt reasonably confident of being able to pay it back through job security etc., but, and here's the kicker, maybe people are just spent out!

Maybe people are tired of living month to month, revolving credit, bills, stress, arguments. Maybe people just want a simpler life.

The government is engaged in a very simple policy now: get people spending again and borrowing more, and FAST. The entire world economy has now been built around people in the street spending like crazy on a load of stuff they don't really need.

I think we've reached saturation point. There's only so many flat screens you can enjoy.

People tried to leave the party in 2002, but Alan Greenspan (the "maestro") locked the doors and ignited a housing bubble to keep the celebration going. In 2007/8, people finally got out the front door and made it to their cars, staggering down the driveway.

And now, the new Fed chairman, Ben Bernanke, holds up 2 bottles of vintage Champagne and beckons you back in.

My feeling is he's throwing a party that people won't show up for, but you be the judge.

This will drive Bernanke insane. He will keep throwing money at this problem and it will go nowhere except the destruction of the currency. Like the crazed Ahab in "Moby Dick", in an all-out attempt to crush his nemesis (deflation), he will destroy himself and take the dollar with him.

The United Nations have just proposed the US dollar be stripped of its reserve currency status.

This last week, Bernanke brought out the big guns and printed money to buy government bonds. They call it "quantitative easing". I call it a ponzi scheme.

Which paper currency should rise most against the dollar? In my opinion, Norway's. It effectively has an "oil standard". It rose 7% last week alone against the dollar.




Of course, all this is not lost on gold. Gold is now eagerly eyeing the $1,000 mark again and probably the most successful fund manager - Paulson- just bought a huge stake in a major gold mine.

Meanwhile, enjoy the rally. If it proceeds as I hope and expect, banking and commodity stocks should lead the way.

How To Write Like A Maniac

Hi Isyaias,

I'm ashamed to say it, but I could very well be the
world's worst typist.

It takes me ages to write/type anything on my PC.

The "Back Space" key is by far the most pressed key on
my keyboard...my fingers are too big..the keys are too
small...it can be really frustrating!

Then there are days that I have no idea WHAT to write
about...

Ever feel the same Isyaias?

In today's lesson I want to share a few secrets to
help you "Write like a Maniac"!

Because the web revolves around content, it's an
important job as a web marketer to create content.

We need to write a LOT of emails, blog posts, ads,
reports, ebooks, articles, sales letters copy,
etc. etc.

So here are some kind of "unorthodox" ways I take
my content creation so I can get it done faster.


1) Set Yourself a Time Limit


When I write these "Stu Sensei" emails, I set my self
a time limit. I'm a perfectionist, and I suck at typing
so it takes a long time. I'll set aside a whole hour
to write, check and finally send it.

You should do the same. Give yourself a time limit
when you write an article or blog post.

A decent blog post will take about 30 minutes to
write and post. Same for an article.

When writing sales copy, it can take me days to
write a whole letter from scratch. I usually set
aside a couple of 2 hour blocks each day to plow
right through.


2) Pre-Think What You Will Write About


Of course, if you sit there staring at your screen
thinking about what you're going to write, it will
take a lot of time.

During the week, I am always thinking and seeking for
ideas about topics to write about..either emails like
this one, articles to submit or blog post.

Remember you ideas or even better, write them down
on a note pad or whiteboard. Then, when you set aside
your time to write, you'll be able to get straight
into it.


3) Borrow Ideas to Overcome Writers Block


Everyone suffers from writers block. Maybe you want
and know you have to write something but you sit
down and your mind goes blank.

That's when other peoples content can give you ideas
for your own.

For copywriters, this is called a "swipe file". If
you're writing articles, take a look at your favorite
article directory to see what others are writing about.

You can't copy word for word obviously, but you can
use the info to put in your own words.


4) Use your Keyboard Shortcuts


Man...keyboard short cuts save me soooo much time.

I've been waiting to share these with you for so
long and now I finally have a good opportunity.

Copy = Ctrl + C
Paste = Ctrl + V
Cut = Ctrl + V
Undo = Ctrl + Z
Redo = Ctrl + Y
Select All = Ctrl + A

F2 = Rename files
F5 = Refresh (browser/any active window)

Tab = moves cursor down through the active window,
great for filling in forms on web pages etc.

Ctrl + Left mouse button = highlight/unhighlight
multiple items (individually - random files in a window)

Shift + Left mouse button = highlight multiple items
(in bulk - good for when using explorer to highlight
multiple files/folders at once)

There are more but these are the main ones I use and
they are true lifesavers :)


5) Don't Care About Typos, Just Type


I'm not a good example of this, but sometimes when
I want to get something out really fast, I will just
stick my head down and type, not caring about mistakes
I make along the way.

I use Firefox browser which has a spell check built
in which really helps because it puts a red squiggle
under the words that are spelled incorrectly, so I
can go and correct them by right clicking on the
word and then choose the correct spelling from the
list in the little grey box.

If you use Word or a similar document editing software,
it will do the same thing with the red squiggle and
there is usually a spell checker built in so you can
let that do the correcting for you.


6) Get Someone Else To Write for You


If you really hate writing, or simply don't have time
etc, you can hire people to write for you.

It could be your sister, a cousin, a neighbor, friend,
a college kid or a writer in India.

Sometimes this is called "outsourcing". Writers are
a dime a dozen...find them locally or online. Forums
and freelance sites are full with offers and writers
who will write an article for around $5 each.

I usually write my own stuff, even though I suck,
because I'm very particular. If someone is actually
going to read it, and it's going to have my name
on it, I want it to be good.

After all, "time is money" and if we can save time, we
can move faster to make more money!

Such ebooks and videos online! But after going through
Them it seems most of the time these people are just
all out to get fast cash from you and not really giving
all the detailed steps on how they did it.

So being so frustrated I decided to sign up my
First $3,000 4 days Internet Marketing course. But little
did I know the experience during the 4 days was worst then I thought.

I had many classmates at the workshop were not really
happy about what they went through . As there were
sooo many pitching during the workshop =P

It's sad to experience that because even the speaker I
Attended this workshop because he mention that there
will not be pitching but there were SO MUCH of IT!

There were like 500 of us in the classroom at that time and I can
sense I wasn't the only person who felt that way too.

Although they did not want to show it at the workshop but
I knew deep in my heart at least 90% of the people in the room
were not making any sort of income online.

So that's $3,000 down the drain and that's almost about
All I had in my bank account! Imagine how frustrated you
Would feel having to spend so much and to trust someone and
Yet the end result was all pitching to learn more.

But I knew I wasn't the worst there were many in fact
even MAX out their credits card to join a even higher
program during the workshop for $10k.

The last time I check with those guys who sign up
they only made $1,000 so far which is not too bad. But
having to spend $10k to earn $1,000 is actually not a lot =P

The worst after that was I did not have a job and I was really
desperate to make money online and will do everything
in my power to earn money online.

After that my parents started to question me about the money
I had spent and I can say it's not a nice experience to tell
My parents the $3,000 did not make much money but just
learn some new resources and skills from it.

So I had no choice, I had to find a part time job. However
I was still determine to make money online so I went

After 30 days of soul searching I realized all
those Gurus that claim they make so much in 3 hours
or 24 hours is because they had a HUGE list!

I was like oh my god! I really wonder what would the
people think if they paid him $5,000 or more to learn
and in the end find out the secret to their success
was a big list!

And building list actually needs time and effort to build
It's not like what many claimed it's instant success.
If it's so easy everyone would be a Millionaire by now
Wouldn't you agree Sonia?

So I discover list building was that important I decided
to add a very simple opt-in page on my blog.

It started pretty slow as I went along it start at only 1 opt-in a day.
After tweaking around with it for a few days I finally had a record
of 7 opt-ins in a day.

Then I was shocked to realized I was actually in a scenario where
I did not know what to do on my blog. Being a newbie as I was then
I just blog information that I knew most about and always tried
to as honest as I can when I blog.

Ironically people love what I blog about! They could sense how honest
I was in my blog and it actually viral by itself.

I have a surge of traffic ever since I starting
blogging that style. And then it came to me that blogging
actually can drive tons of traffic to generate leads.

I starting to double my results month after months and I got
So excited that I knew I was on to something good.

Then came June 18 2007, when I launched Atomic Blogging
A guide book based on all the experiment and traffic
tactics which I had successful used to generate over 10,000
or more visitors per month to my blog.

To my amazement I closed US$5,000 in just the first 7 days
of my launch. If you were thinking I had a huge list of 10,000
or something. Guess what it's only 500 my friend =) And
most the leads actually came from my list generated from
my blog =)

Also if you will wondering I must be blogging pretty long.
Well if you check my domain history I started
my blogging journey only in July 2006! That's like only 12 months!

a nice feeling to do that… as I was getting little money from
my job.

- Had a list of 20 keywords ranked top 10 in Google.
- Generate monthly 10,000 to 20,000 unique hits per month

All the hype about making money online but I know for
a fact if you don't have a list you cannot make money
online.

That is where I realized by using blogs as a tool I generated
only 500 leads and there were so much sales when I
launch a product.

Do You Have More Than 4 of These??

Hey Isyaias,

Hope you had a great weekend. Christina and I finally had
our first "date night" in a while ... It's not as easy now
that little Adam is here.

We ended up staying in downtown Seattle for the night at
the Olympic hotel. They've got an amazing restaurant ...

It was really good to relax and take some time away from
'work mode' for the weekend.

Actually taking some real time off, completely away from the
office, made me realize that when I work too much, it causes
me to lose focus and makes me LESS productive.


And when you're not productive, you don't get much done!

way through to completion.

sketch/blueprint of what the product does, put some basic
content together and then ...

They said... "How Could it be?"

You see, my in'come is not dependant on a
company to give me salary month after month.
I am NOT contractor either where IF there is
a JOB, I would make money, if not, I would
have sleep on the street.

In addition to that, Internet business is
totally different from other mediums such as
your local businesses. Their traffic is solely
depending on people in the local area.

It means that...

"If the people in the local area got laid
off, the businesses will close their
doors faster than they open them"

It means that my business can target people
locally, nationwide, or even on an international
level. I have clients from India, Europe, South
Africa, Canada, Singapore, and etc.

In fact, people that I deal with, they are very
well off. Even though we heard the news that the
unemployment rate is at a 25 year high, there are
many MORE people who have their JOBS.

Because of these reasons alone, I am more well
off than business who started out from the
offline media. They have rent to pay for the
brick and mortar business.

They have employees to pay. They have inventory
to take care of. They need to make sure that the
people in the community itself make money or
they will be screwed.

They also have to be aware of their NEW
COMPETITORS who put in more dollars than on
making a better looking store than they are.
All these headaches will cause them to be
running out of cashflow FASTER than the sales
coming to the business.

"What is the ONE sentence Obama
say to the us?"

He said..."The future of our economy relies on
the imagination of our Entrepreneurs"

Did he say get a NEW JOB?
Did he say get ready to wake up at 7 AM?
Did he say get ready to work harder on your
9 - 5 JOB?

Absolutely NOT! Barrack Obama knows that the
reccession caused by the spirit of the followers
in the business. What do I mean by followers?

For example:

Back in Dec 19' 2004, I was the FIRST one that
came out with the idea of the giveaway. I used
the point system in place where I make sure that
partners who promoted the hardest will get the
most subscriber base.

It is EXACTLY two weeks after the campaign itself,
one other marketers USED the same idea. Within
three months, 13 marketers were ABUSING the same
concept. Finally, none of them survived.

They had no clue about the system.
They had no clue what to do with it.
They had no clue that the giveway campaign is
MUCH more than building list or making more money.
It is an entire system in place.

Since they were NOT able to monetize from it at all,
they made an assumption that I were not able to do
it either. However, every single year, I was able
to get between 30,000 - 50,000 subscribers every
30 days for EACH campaign that I run.

"What did I do differently?"

It is simple. I don't follow what other people have
done. I don't copy what other people are doing. I
simply create a MUCH better system in place. This
is what differentiates you and the rest.

This is WHAT differentiates between a LEADER and
a follower.

What I am trying to say is...

You NEED to be unique.
You NEED to stay true to your unique selling
proposition.

You NEED to be able to say the difference between
you and others. WAIT! I am NOT comparing that this
guy has a BMW and I have a ferarri. Not on that for
sure. Instead, I am talking to you about the
personality that people can NOT copy.

Think about this, ok?

-> If you are in a business to sell shoes,
other people are selling shoes, you have
NO UNIQUENESS.

-> If you are in the business to sell pizza,
the next guy is selling PIZZA, you have no
uniqueness either.

You need to SPELL OUT the bullet point benefits,
such as:

-> why your PIZZA is the best?
-> Why it is crunchier than other pizza store?
-> Why it will melt as soon as you bite it?
-> Why the ingredients are different than other
pizza store?

Basically, it all comes down to your IMAGINATION,
just like what Obama said. So, really, I don't
care what you are selling ONLINE or what you are
trying to MARKET to others.

IF you do NOT have the UNIQUE selling proposition,
it will FAIL for sure. So, go ahead and imagine
EXACTLY what you can do to be different than the
rest. Again, IF other people are selling what you
are selling, such as MLM stuff, chances are you
are going to compete with the REST.

You need to give them the REASON why they need to
listen to you. Not only is this important, but
this is CRUCIAL for your own success. Because of

Articles should be well written and checked for errors such as spelling and grammatical errors for it to look professional and believable. The trust of your client to you and newsletter is at stake here.

3) Fact-check your articles. Make sure that you provide true facts and figures so that your reputation as an expert and knowledgeable in that field is not questioned. A niche is a group of people that share the same
issues, concerns and problems. Basically, there are
four different types of niches.

1. Geographic Niche

A geographic niche is a group of people that all live
in the same area such as a city, town, or neighborhood.

such as chiropractors, insurance agents, realtors and
retail stores. 90% of their business comes from within
three to five miles of their business location.

In fact, realtors have a name for marketing to a
geographic location. It's called "farming." When a
realtor "farms" a neighborhood, their objective is to

professional in that neighborhood.

2. Psychographic Niche

A psychographic niche is a group of people who are
passionate about a specific thing. For instance,
golfers would be a psychographic niche. Avid golfers
are usually irrationable buyers because they are crazy
about the sport of gold and will spend lots of money on
most anything that will give them the "edge" in their
golf game.

3. Demographic Niche

A demographic niche is based on a people who share
similar personal characteristics (or demographic
profile). For instance, a demographic niche would be
all women who are between the ages of 35-40 whose
household income is between $75,000 and $100,000 and
are over 5ft. 7in. and under 130 pounds.

4. Occupational Niche

These are people who share the same occupation. For
instance, lawyers, accountants, insurance agents, pool
builders etc. People who in the same occupation share
common problems and issues in their lives. It's a big
deal because these people spend eight hours a day or
more dealing with these same issues and problems.

People who are in the same niche are bees in a beehive.
They talk a lot to eachother about things that affect
their life in their niche. That's why marketing to a
niche is an excellent referral strategy. When
something worth talking about happens to someone, some
of the first people they tell are those in their own
niche.

Word travels very fast in a niche, which produces what
I call "natural referrals." When you sell to people in
a specific niche, you create your own naturally viral
referral force!
